Privacy policy
Effective date: July 2, 2026
Summary
RoutingRadar is an editorial reference site. We do not collect personal information from readers, we do not require accounts, and we do not store search queries against your identity. The page you are reading is served the same way to every visitor.
What we collect automatically
Like virtually every web site, our hosting infrastructure logs basic technical information about each request — the IP address that made the request, the page that was requested, the timestamp, the user-agent string of the browser, and the HTTP referrer. We use these logs only for security monitoring (detecting scrapers, bots, and abuse), debugging, and producing aggregate traffic statistics. Logs are rotated and discarded on a rolling basis.
Cookies
RoutingRadar itself does not set tracking cookies. We may set a small number of strictly functional cookies (for example, to remember which Federal Reserve district you have selected on a settings page) but never advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of our own. If we add advertising in the future (see below), the advertising provider may set cookies subject to their own policies, and you will see this policy updated to reflect that.
Search queries
When you use the site search to look up a routing number or bank name, that query is processed in your browser and sent to our server only as part of the URL of the search results page. We do not associate search queries with your identity, your IP address, or any persistent identifier. Search query strings may appear in our access logs (as part of the requested URL) but are not used for any purpose other than the technical operation of the site.
Analytics
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool (currently none deployed) that aggregates anonymous traffic statistics — pageviews, popular pages, referring sites, country-level geography, and so on. We do not use Google Analytics in its tracking-cookie configuration, and we do not run third-party fingerprinting libraries.
Advertising
RoutingRadar reserves the right to display advertising in clearly marked slots on certain pages, served through standard ad networks such as Google AdSense. When advertising is enabled, the ad network may set cookies and use tracking technologies subject to Google's advertising policies. You can opt out of personalized advertising for many networks at aboutads.info/choices. Editorial content is independent of any advertising; we do not accept paid placement of routing-number records or sponsored bank listings.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share visitor data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may disclose access logs in response to a lawful subpoena or in connection with a security investigation.
Children
RoutingRadar is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information about a child, please contact us so we can delete it.
Your rights
If you are a resident of the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection rights, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you. Because we collect minimal information and don't maintain user accounts, we generally have nothing more to disclose than the access logs described above. Send any formal requests to privacy@routingradar.example.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, post a notice on the homepage for at least 14 days. Continued use of RoutingRadar after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
